Can I buy directly from you?
No, not at this time. OrePac Building Products is a wholesale building materials distributor, which means that we supply materials to home improvement stores and lumber yards. Price quotes, purchases, and delivery questions should all be directed to your local home improvement store. We would be more than happy to connect you with a dealer in your area. Call or email your local OrePac Branch and ask us for a list of OrePac dealers near you.
Do you allow contractors to buy directly from you?
We do not allow direct purchases from contractors at this time. All OrePac branches are wholesale locations, which means they are set up for distribution only. If you would like to connect with an OrePac dealer, call or email your local OrePac Branch and ask us for a list of retail locations and lumber yards in your area.
When I try to open a PDF file nothing happens, what do I do?
Issues with downloading PDFs are often isolated incidents. These are the most common issues:
- Check to make sure you have the most recent update of Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your device.
- Some of the PDF files on OrePac.com are large. Personal devices, such as a smartphone or tablet, may have slow downloading times or may not have the adequate storage capabilities. In this case, check your storage availability and check for any device updates. If the problem continues, please contact your device provider.

Can I get my current door prefinished with FinishKote™ or PrismaGuard™?
We're glad our FinishKote paints and PrismaGuard stains have caught your eye. Unfortunately, this is not a service that can be completed on preowned doors. Instead, you can choose from a variety of Therma-Tru® fiberglass or steel doors, and we will professionally finish it for you using the FinishKote process.
Can I order a prefinished stile and rail or flush and molded door?
At this time, we only offer FinishKote™ finishing on fiberglass and steel doors.
What is stile and rail?
Stile and rail is an industry-leading woodworking technique used to construct wood doors. Stile and rail doors are built by placing panels within a sturdy frame, allowing for the natural and seasonal movements of wood to be anticipated and keep the doors safe from distortion and cracking.
What is the difference between PVC and composite decking?
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) decking refers to a 100% recycled synthetic material that achieves the look and strength of real wood with less maintenance. Composite decking is a blend of wood fibers and synthetic material.
What is E2E?
Eased two edges (E2E) is a board that has two rounded edges and two squared edges.
What is S4S?
Surfaced four sides (S4S) is a board that has two flat and parallel faces, as well as two flat and parallel edges.
What is MDF?
Medium density fiberboard (MDF) is dry-processed fiberboard manufactured from wood fibers.
What are VOCs?
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) include gasses, bacteria, lead paint, and other harmful contaminants which can be trapped inside improperly reclaimed wood. VOCs will eventually release into their surroundings and create a toxic environment.
What is SDL?
Simulated divided lite (SDL) is the industry descriptor for doors that are made up of one piece of glass with selected bars that have been professionally adhered to the door glass. SDL doors often include custom options prior to manufacturing.
What is KD?
Kiln-dried (KD) is a traditional wood drying method that involves reducing the moisture content in the product. Before a product is dried, it is referred to as a green product. Green products have a high moisture content. The green product is placed into kilns, where heated air dries out the wood before use. When wood is kiln-dried it is incorporated into an industry-established moisture content standard. Other moisture content options include s-dried, air-dried, and weathered methods.
